My CrossFit journey began summer 2008 in a local park here in Florida. Even with sand in my eyes, dirt in my mouth and sandspurs in blistered hands, I fell under the CossFit spell. Of course once I learned there was an actual CrossFit “box” in town with professional equipment and qualified coaches, I sprinted over to Harbor City CrossFit and signed up on the spot!
The past four years as a CrossFit Athlete have been filled with triumph and challenge alike and I’m a hell of a lot stronger, in every way, for it. In the immortal words of Mark Rippetoe “Strong people are harder to kill than weak people and more useful in general”.
As a coach I try to inspire people to find and exhibit the incredible strength, power and resilience that we’re all capable of but rarely, if ever, manifest. Come manifest your inner badass at Harbor City CrossFit. See ya soon.

Coach Justin Treptow found Crossfit in 2008 while attending Florida Tech. From the onset of this new training regime, Justin recognized the three largest benefits from crossfit: constant variety, performance results, and a deep sense of community. In 2007, Justin received a First Degree Black Belt from American Mixed Martial Arts (AMA, Wi) in Taekwondo. From 2008-2009, Justin trained at different CF gyms in the Brevard and Milwaukee areas. Finally landing at Harbor City Crossfit in 2010, Justin began the transition from simply training to coaching in late 2011. His aerospace engineering background brings an analytical approach to both the theory of performance as well as the application of force. With a focus on mobilization and human movement, Justin offers an individualized coaching approach to ensure every athlete at Harbor City gets the coaching they need. When you see him, feel free to ask about mobilization techniques to help improve range of motion, paleo recipe tips, or how to improve fitness even while in the office.
